Payment Of Fees
All appropriate fees must be paid prior to the commencement of any course.
If you wish to change your course booking you must inform SalusUAV in writing (or email) at least 5 working days before the commencement of the classroom based element of the course on which you are booked. You will be able to book on to a different course without incurring further course fees, however a £25+VAT administration fee will be charged.
If you wish to change your course booking and you inform SalusUAV in writing (or email) less than 5 days, but more than 24 hours before the commencement of the classroom based element of the course on which you are booked, you will be charged a late cancellation fee of £100+VAT and will be able to book on to a future course. Additionally a £25+VAT administration fee will be charged.
No refunds or credits will be provided if you fail to attend the course at the designated venue at the designated time without prior notice, or if you attempt to re-book within 24 hours of the classroom based element commencement time.
SalusUAV will review and assess each candidate’s Operations Manual if it is submitted within 90 days of successfully completing the Theory Examination. Unless otherwise agreed with SalusUAV, any Operations Manuals submitted after this time will be subject to an administrative fee of £25+VAT in order to complete the course.
After a successful Operations Manual review SalusUAV will agree with each candidate a date, time and location to complete the Flight Assessment. If this is subsequently cancelled at the candidate’s request, SalusUAV reserves the right to charge the candidate at the current “PfCO Flight Test” rate listed on our website.
Should the Flight Assessment need to be postponed as a result of circumstances outside of SalusUAV’s control (such as unsuitable weather conditions), the candidate will be informed as soon as possible. An alternative booking arrangement will be agreed with the candidate without charge. SalusUAV cannot guarantee to allocate any particular date, time or venue.
Award of Permission For Commercial Operation (PFCO)
On successful completion of a SalusUAV PfCO Theory Examination, Flight Assessment and Ops Manual Review each candidate will apply to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for a PFCO. SalusUAV cannot influence the time scale that the CAA will take for the award of a PFCO and cannot be held liable for any delays in the process. Candidates are advised not to accept bookings for commercial work until the CAA issue a PFCO.
SalusUAV guarantee to provide you with high quality classroom based instruction and guidance to allow you to complete the PfCO course. However, SalusUAV do not guarantee that you will receive a PFCO by simply attending the course.
There is a theoretical examination taken under CAA examination conditions and a flight assessment to demonstrate your skill in safely operating a SUAS. Failure of any of these elements will mean that SalusUAV will not be able to recommend the award of a PFCO without subsequent re-assessment.
Additionally SalusUAV reserves the right to refuse to recommend to the CAA the award of a PFCO if the candidate displays attitudes or behaviours that render him/her unsuitable to conduct safe SUAS operations.
